Why
Miami was built on roots.
Before the skyline, there were mangroves holding the coast, coral rock beneath our feet and a river of grass to the west.
Human wellbeing starts with the health of the place we live. Casa Raíz brings that way of building, living and gathering back to the city.
Through talks, workshops, dinners and nights out held throughout the year, we bring together the designers, builders, growers and neighbors shaping how Miami lives next.
What we gather around
Gatherings for the people shaping Miami's next chapter.
Every Casa Raíz event, all year long, returns to four roots.
- i.
Soil and water
From the Everglades to the bay, the ground we grow from.
- ii.
Conscious architecture
Buildings that belong to the climate they stand in.
- iii.
Community resilience
Neighborhoods ready for the next storm and the next generation.
- iv.
Circular economies
Refill, reuse, repair. Nothing wasted.
